AS SOME ARE OUT FOR A GENTLE WALK AND SONE ARE NURSING A 'BAGGY' HEAD THERE WILL BE SOME DOING THE REGULAR DAILY EXERCISE - ITS ALL NORMAL AT THIS TIME OF YEAR!

What is not normal on th efirst of january are others who have made or are making plans to improve fitness during 2017, and with the average person consuming 6000 calories alone during Christmas day it can be a guilt trip that motivates you.

Whatever the reason, the hardest poart is actually turning up at th estart line and commencing whatever exercise you have planned, whether it is a walk, a class or joing the gym...this is the most difficult part!......
Start.....look ahead and give yourself a few goals and aims

where do you want to be 12 months from now?
how do you want top feel in th esummer?
what do you want to be doingin 10-12 weeks time?

by using these targets you will better motivate yoursekf, rather than looking backwards, LOOK FORWARDS, if you are using negativity as a motivator it will not last or see you through the hard work you are about to do.

When picking your goals, make them achievable, you are not going to be ready for the Olympic team by the summer 2017!

It can be to reduce a clothing size, walk briskly without getting out of breath, or to simply get out and socialise and meet other people
SO, plan where you want to be, do someting that you will enjoy, keep targets achievable, meet new people, make new friends, have fun and enjoy your life MORE IN 2017..!

TW1 2017

It is highly notable that as the nights have got darker and colder gyms and fitness classes shrink as people have more reasons why NOT to do fitness and to not feel guilty by convincing yourself that you will re start in January

January the gyms have special deals, why? - it is because numbers are down, if they weren't there would be no deals, don't be fooled by January fitness deals.
Be in charge of your own fitness and when you get the 'lets have a rest feeling at Christmas' make sure that you do, but then 'tick over' with your fitness, keep it cool, slow the pace, change the routine - it is far easier to accelerate in the new year from a cruising speed than to start cold

MT nordic walkers have a plan! It's kicking off 2017 with the first nordic walk of the year and details are below
